I wrote this song in June 2020 after getting back to New York City after visiting California. It marked the realization and end of a lot of things for me in my year and a half in New York. We'll leave it at that for now.
lyrics
I am having some trouble
Wonder if this might work out
And look, I'd be there on the double
But this heart just made me halt
Your gaze, your eyes and your sweet fragile mind still haunt me
Even though you're nowhere near (Come closer)
And my body it locks the momentum rewinds and we're floating
Spiraling out of control
So take your time
You can take what's mine
We will be just right forever
So take your time
You can take what's mine
We will be just right forever
It's the way we both pretend
And your waving hair with every footstep
That I cannot block no more
And ooh, let's take it back
To the memories we once had
So take your time
You can take what's mine
We will be just right forever
So take your time
You can take what's mine
We will be just right forever
